Every camper is different. Some are young, some are old, some are short, some are tall, and so on. And this applies to more than just human campers – not all tents are created equal for camping experience!

This tent is one of my favorite camping tents (family tents)! I received it as a sample product, and I tested it over the course of two weeks.

What I love about this tent is that all you have to do is unzip the door, pull out the extendable poles, extend them in line with their sleeve holes, and slide on the connectors.

Then you just need to slip the connectors into buckle openings, unzip the door, and inside you go!

Since it is so easy to set up, I would recommend this tent for older campers.

If an older camper can get in and out of a car, they can probably figure out how to set this tent up on their own.

Interior

These camping tents has plenty of room and height for an average-sized adult (5’6″ or taller). It has a size of 47 in x 9.05 in x 9.05″.

There is one large door that zips open and closed, which is also where the window flaps are located (the window flaps zip closed and can be rolled up). There is a small mesh pocket on the inside of the door for keeping your keys and wallet.

There is also one smaller door at the other end, which may make it difficult to access if you want privacy (for example, changing clothes).

This camping tent has an interior storage compartment used for keeping poles and other things you don’t want to lose track of. There are also internal pockets for keeping smaller items organized.

Exterior

This camping tent is available in either blue or green color. The poles are made of lightweight fiberglass and aluminum alloy. It has taped seams to help prevent leaks during rainstorms (although no tent truly prevents all water leakage).

You can use the rainfly to protect yourself from both direct sunlight and rain. There are two loops at each end of the rainfly for hanging a gear loft. It has an adjustable vent on top to regulate airflow if it’s windy or raining.

The camping tent also comes with stakes and guy lines to keep the tent in place in windy conditions. The aluminum pegs are lightweight, so it is easy to carry them with you when camping.

Also included with the tent are a storage bag, carry bag, or a camping gear. The storage bag is relatively small, so it would be best used for keeping your camping tent in good condition when it’s not being used instead of taking up too much room in your car.

Setup

Setup is very easy, even for older campers in these camping tents.

It has two long poles that are connected in an “X” formation. You spread the camping tent open on the ground, extend each pole to its full length, and slide it through a sleeve at one end of the tent. Then you just have to stretch out the poles until they are in line with the sleeve holes at the other end of the tent, and slide on a connector to secure it. Two smaller poles then attach to each corner and connect into their corresponding openings on the connectors.

The long poles may be difficult for older campers to handle due to height and strength limitations, but once someone is able to set them up, they can help other campers get their tent set up.

The rainfly is attached to the body of the tent with clips. It may be difficult for some people to stretch it over all four poles and clip in each corner, but two people should be able to do this together. You may want to add a rope to the four poles so that it is easier to reattach the rainfly in case it blows off during a storm.

The vent at the top of the camping tent can be opened or closed by rolling up and fastening a Velcro strap around the opening. It should only be used when there is no chance for rain, to ensure that the tent isn’t too damp when you come back inside.

Pros
Cons

Verdict

This is a great tent for older campers. The large windows can be zipped up or rolled open, which gives you plenty of options depending on the weather conditions.

You also have a door and two vestibules to keep your gear organized and out of the rain.
